The Themed Lands of Universal Epic Universe

One of the most exciting aspects of Universal Epic Universe is its themed lands. Each portal you enter will transport you into a unique world. All lands have their own rides, dining and experiences. Honestly, there’s so much to look forward to, that tens of thousands have already planned to visit in the first month of opening. These are the immersive lands you can envision to experience.

1. Celestial Park

Celestial Park is a futuristic land that acts as the main hub of the entire park. Once you walk through the gate the views immediately take you over as you're eager for an adventure. The moment you step in, you’re surrounded by lush gardens, sparkling fountains, and futuristic architecture that feels like something out of a dream. Imagine walking along winding pathways lined with glowing orbs and interactive water features, the air filled with soft, ambient music that changes as you move through the area.

During the day, Celestial Park is a vibrant sight to take in, the architecture is amazing and the Atlantis restaurant immediately commands attention. As the sun sets, the entire space transforms. First as it gets dark you’ll notice the lights surrounding the park come to life, illuminating the pathways with  a mesmerizing cosmic glow. Then a spectacular light show projects stunning celestial images into the night sky. It feel as if you’ve stepped into the cosmos.

But Celestial Park isn’t just for sightseeing—it’s also a hub for dining and shopping. Cozy eateries with open-air seating let you savor a meal under the stars, and sleek storefronts offer futuristic merchandise you won’t find anywhere else. And if the rumors are true, a central attraction might make this area even more than just a beautiful meeting place—it could be home to one of the most immersive experiences in the entire park.

2. Super Nintendo World

Gamers and Nintendo die-hards, get ready to nerd out! Super Nintendo World will bring the world of Mario, Donkey Kong, and other Nintendo characters to life. You will be able to explore the Mushroom Kingdom and Donkey Kong territory. What's interesting is you can interact with the environment as though you were in the games yourself. The rides of both areas will immerse you even further creating memories for a lifetime. 

Visitors can expect a highly interactive experience where they can collect digital coins, activate blocks, and challenge themselves in various gaming-style activities throughout the land. Augmented reality technology may also enhance some of the attractions, allowing riders to feel as if they are truly racing in a Mario Kart tournament or running through an obstacle course like a real Nintendo character.

Additionally, Super Nintendo World will offer real-life Power-Up Band interactions. Once a guest has a power up band they can track their progress, complete challenges, and even unlock secret areas throughout the park. Exclusive merchandise, themed character meet-and-greets, and nostalgic music straight from classic Nintendo games will only further enhance the experience.

3. How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

Picture yourself stepping into a Viking village straight out of the movies, where the scent of roasting meats fills the air and the distant roar of a dragon echoes through the towering wooden halls. The Isle of Berk is a land full of dragons and fjords. You  can meet dragons of different kinds, explore aspects of Viking culture, and take on thrilling rides designed for families and thrill-seekers.

The highlights of this land you would think will be the dragon attractions, but the themed design is possibly an even bigger highlight. On the rides guests can soar over the cliffs of Berk, feeling the rush of the wind as they dodge fiery blasts and take in breathtaking views. Venturing through the land you will come across a  boat rides that will take you through the rugged Viking seascape. Guests will experience moving animatronic dragons that interact with the boats, creating a truly immersive experience.

Beyond the rides, guests can train their own dragons through interactive encounters. Kids will love the experience. There is an option to take part in the themed stunt show and even join Viking training camps. The training camps will feature axe-throwing challenges, dragon care lessons, and story-driven quests where visitors can prove their worth as true Vikings.

Of course, no Viking experience is complete without food. The Isle of Berk will likely feature massive mead halls serving roasted feasts, hearty stews, and fresh bread straight from the stone ovens. The rustic wooden interiors, complete with long communal tables and roaring fireplaces, will make guests feel like they’ve stepped into an authentic Viking feast straight out of the films.

4. Dark Universe

Imagine stepping into a world shrouded in mist, where eerie music hums through the air, and the flickering glow of gas-lit lanterns barely cuts through the creeping darkness. Welcome to the Dark Universe, a land where the most legendary monsters in cinematic history lurk in the shadows, waiting for you to come through. Here, the ancient myths and Gothic horror stories of Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman aren’t just whispered legends—they are terrifyingly real.

The landscape is straight out of a classic horror film—twisted trees loom over cobblestone streets, and eerie howls echo through the fog-drenched air. As you wander deeper, you might find yourself face-to-face with Frankenstein’s towering laboratory, where strange electrical surges crackle through the night. A thrilling, heart-pounding attraction could send you plummeting through an experiment gone horribly wrong, with bolts of lightning illuminating glimpses of the misunderstood creature lurking in the darkness. Will you escape, or become part of the experiment?

For those brave enough, there may even be an interactive horror maze, where guests come face-to-face with the infamous Count Dracula himself. Imagine stepping into his candlelit castle, where the scent of aged parchment and burning wax fills the air, only to hear the slow creak of an unseen door opening behind you. If you’re more of a spectator than a participant, you might prefer to dine at a sinister yet elegant gothic-themed restaurant, where shadowy figures seem to move in the corners, and eerie pipe organ music plays softly in the background. Guests who are brave enough to enter will gain an amazing experience.

5. Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic

Close your eyes for a moment and picture the thrill of stepping through the grand, gleaming entrance of the Ministry of Magic. The rush of golden light reflecting off the massive fireplaces, the buzz of witches and wizards scurrying about their magical business—this is the Wizarding World like you’ve never seen before.

This expansion to Universal’s beloved Wizarding World of Harry Potter will take fans beyond Hogwarts and Diagon Alley, deep into the heart of wizarding government. Expect a grand, sprawling set design, where enchanted memos flutter through the air, and magical artifacts glow softly behind enchanted glass. Secret passageways may lead to hidden chambers where dark mysteries unfold, while an interactive spell-casting experience could let visitors influence the magic happening all around them. Imagine flicking your wand and watching as an enchanted quill begins writing on its own, or using an incantation to reveal hidden messages on ancient parchments.

With all that being said…that’s not even the best part. Journey deeper inside the Ministry of Magic and discover a new ride that will dive guests into the depths of wizarding espionage. Will you uncover a conspiracy within the Ministry? Maybe accidentally stumble into the dangerous practice of the Dark Arts? With lifelike animatronics, spellbinding special effects, and state-of-the-art ride technology, this attraction is set to transport visitors straight into the heart of J.K. Rowling’s magical universe. After a great ride, you can stop by the wizarding café, where you can sip on a steaming mug of Butterbeer and indulge in enchanting treats straight from the pages of the books.
